Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Cases

Worth understanding first, because it shapes the choice. Samsung did not build magnets into the S22 Ultra unlike iPhone, where the ring sits behind the back glass, Galaxy handsets of this generation rely on the case to supply it. A standard case leaves you with flat-pad wireless charging and nothing more.

Both cases here carry their own magnet array, so either one will let the phone snap onto a magnetic car mount, hold a magnetic power bank on the back, or self-align on a wireless charger. The difference is how they go about it.

Two-piece wallet, or slim single shell

The Hanman Miro at $30 is built as two pieces. A slim inner shell holds the phone and clips into the leather folio with magnets carry the whole thing when you want cards, or pull the shell free and leave the wallet behind. It also solves the charging problem every one-piece folio has: cards between the phone and a charger block it entirely, and separating the Miro keeps them out of the way.

The Elegant Series at $35 is the opposite approach. One slim magnetic shell, no cards, minimum added thickness. On a phone as large as the S22 Ultra that matters it is already a handful, and a folio makes it more so.

So the question is whether you want your cards with the phone. If yes, the Miro gives you both options in one purchase. If not, the Elegant keeps the profile down.

What a case needs to do on this model

The S22 Ultra was the first of the Note-style Ultras squared corners, an S Pen stored in the body, and curved display edges. Each of those affects the case.

The curve is the one to pay attention to. A case needs a lip that rises past it without interfering with edge swipes: too shallow and the glass still meets the ground in a face-down drop, too aggressive and the screen becomes awkward. The S Pen silo has to stay clear, so stick to cases cut for this model rather than anything sold as a universal large-Galaxy fit. And with four lenses sitting proud of the back with no housing around them, a raised camera edge matters more here than on a phone with a recessed module.

Getting the model right

The S22 Ultra is a different shape from the S22 Plus and standard S22 squared rather than rounded, with the S Pen and a different camera layout. Nothing crosses between them. The S23 Ultra is closer in size but changed enough in the frame and camera placement that its cases do not fit either. Check under Settings > About phone and match the exact name including Ultra.
