Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Cases

Three cases, three levels of protection

A short range, but a well-spaced one. Each case here answers a different question, and the gaps between them are wide enough that the choice is usually obvious.

The Mecury Ultra Slim Soft Feeling TPU at $25 is the everyday option: soft-touch finish, minimal thickness, enough edge coverage for pocket knocks and desk slides. If the S24 Ultra already feels large in the hand, this is the case that does not make it worse.

The Elegant Series Magnetic at $35 is the middle ground, and the one to choose if you use any magnetic accessory. More on why that matters below.

The Redpepper IP68 at $55 is a fully sealed enclosure rated to two metres of submersion — genuine waterproofing, not splash resistance. On a titanium flagship it is proportionate: the case costs a fraction of the phone and covers the scenario insurance usually will not.

Magnetic mounting on Galaxy

This works differently from iPhone and it decides which case you should buy. Apple builds a magnet ring into the handset, so any case passes it through. Samsung does not — the magnets sit in the case itself.

So on the S24 Ultra, only a magnetic case gives you magnetic mounting. The Elegant Series carries the magnet array; the slim TPU does not. All three will charge on a flat wireless pad, but a magnetic car mount, a snap-on power bank or a self-aligning charger needs the magnets to be in the case. There is no adding it later except with a stick-on ring, which drifts off-centre over time.

A note on the S Pen

The S24 Ultra stores its S Pen inside the body, and the silo opening has to stay clear. Standard cases are cut for it, but a fully sealed waterproof enclosure works differently — if you rely on the S Pen daily, check how the Redpepper handles the silo before ordering, or keep a slim case for everyday use and the waterproof one for when you actually need it.

Getting the model right

The S24 Ultra, S24 Plus and standard S24 are three different bodies with different camera housings, and no case crosses between them. The S23 Ultra is the closer trap — similar size and similar layout, but the S24 Ultra moved to a flat display and a squared titanium frame, so the two are not interchangeable. Check under Settings > About phone and match the exact name including Ultra.
